NAIDOC Week

National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year (Sunday to Sunday), to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. You can support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through activities and events held across the country.

Reconciliation Australia is an independent not-for profit organisation, the lead body for reconciliation in Australia. They promote and facilitate reconciliation by building relationships, respect and trust between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Mob Link is an initiative of the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in SEQ by linking them with health and social services.

The Lowitja Institute is Australia’s only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled health research institute. They work for the health and wellbeing of Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through quality research, knowledge translation and by supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health researchers.

The HealthInfoNet‘s translational research aims at providing the knowledge and other information needed for practitioners and policy-makers to make informed decisions in their work. It provides support to those working in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector by making research and other knowledge readily accessible.
