Neurologists are clinicians who deal with disorders ranging from diseases of muscle to disorders of cognitive function and behaviour, using clinical tools ranging from molecular biology through electrophysiology to functional neuroimaging. [ANZAN]

Three (3) years of advanced training:
Rotations are for twelve (12) months.
How to improve your chances of selection
Australia has an under supply of practising neurologists per head of population and, in addition, the current workforce is showing a strong trend in favour of part time employment. The result is plenty of work available for specialists.
Becoming more competitive for advanced training positions: there are 7 core training positions in Queensland [2 positions at Royal Brisbane Womens Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Gold Coast Hospital and 1 position at Townsville Hospital] with 2 or 3 new appointees each year. In 2013, there were 9 applicants.
